- Vice president technology
Education:
BSc petroleum, Rogaland Regional College.

Career:
Extensive experience in Norwegian oil and gas activities from Statoil and Baker Hughes INTEQ. Previously headed Petoro's technology and ICT department.

Technology department:
The department provides the other units with expertise and services related to technical issues and efficient utilisation of new solutions. This is intended to support both assessment of and dealing with operator proposals in the licences. The department leads Petoro’s own initiatives for boosting value creation in the licences. Its contribution will cover all parts of the value chain, and includes resource assessments, development concepts and risk assessments related to major investments, and operations.

An overall assessment of challenges on the NCS shows that the industry continues to face major technical issues. Tomorrow’s challenges cannot be overcome with existing technological solutions alone.
