About Petoro

Petoro is a state-owned limited company which manages the SDFI in the Norwegian oil and gas sector. These holdings comprise a third of Norway’s oil and gas reserves and associated facilities. Petoro’s management team possesses broad specialist expertise as well as long and extensive experience from the petroleum industry on the NCS and internationally.

Kjell Morisbak Lund

- Vice president licences
Education: 
MSc marine technology, NTNU.

Career: 
Broad experience from work in upstream and downstream oil and gas business, including as a researcher on marine structures in Sintef. Several project, staff and managerial positions in Statoil – most recently as vice president HSE for midstream and downstream operations.  
 
Licence department:
The licence department exercises the licensee function and, with contributions from other units, maximises the value of the SDFI in petroleum operations on the NCS. It also manages the Norwegian state’s participatory interests in production licences on the Icelandic continental shelf. The department plans, organises and follows up Petoro’s activities in the licences, and represents the company on management committees.
