Vice president technology and ICT BSc petroleum from Rogaland Regional College (now the University of Stavanger) in 1978. Roy has long experience from the Norwegian oil and gas industry through 20 years with Statoil and two years with Baker Hughes Inteq before he joined Petoro in 2002.
"The department shall provide Petoro competence and services related to technical issues and effective use of new technology to support both the assessment and management of operators' proposals in licenses and enable Petoro to take its own initiatives to increase value creation in the licenses. The department's contribution will cover all parts of the value chain and include resourceassessment, development concepts and risk assessment with regard to large investments and operations.
An overall assessment of the challenges on the Norwegian continental shelf shows that the shelf still faces major technical issues and tomorrow's challenges are not solved with todays technology solutions alone."
