Marion Svihus has an MBA from Norges Handelshøyskole, Bergen. She has broad experience from Statoil where she had several leading positions within finance, strategy and analyses. Before she joined Petoro in 2007 she was VP for Statoils Technology & Projects business area. In addition she has 8 years of experience from bank and financing.
"Tasks related to financial management of Petoros business and the state's portfolio of oil, gas and infrastructure include preparation of accounts and budgets for SDFI and Petoro AS, monitoring of budget against goals and funding for Petoro and the state's portfolio, preparation of forecasts, risk management and internal audit activities.
It is of high importance to Petoro that management systems are effective and contribute to maximize the states value creation through good management models ensuring the state's rules and regulations for governmental financial management and the requirements for corporate governance on the Norwegian continental shelf in the agreements. Financial management of SDFI portfolio also includes commercial development and negotiations related to the introduction of new fields, portfolio reviews and analysis tasks where Petoro participate actively in negotiations to ensure the state's economic interests."
